ABOUT JADON JACKMAN
Jadon Jackman (b. 2003) is a colour-blind self taught Barbadian artist who
specializes in ink, graphite and charcoal.
AS both a hyperrealist and abstract artist, his art varies in theme from addressing
social issues to lacking a theme entirely; however, through both art styles 1 Jadon
aims to visually distance the viewer from reality.
Through hyperrealism, Jadon creates an image almost indecipherable from a
photo that only after closer inspection, its impossible elements are realized and
the meaning of the piece is recognized.
Similarly, through his abstract art, Jadon defies reason. By combining
two= -dimensional and three- -dimensional shapes and silhouettes, he ignores the
laws of physics and only provides the viewer with a cycle of short-lived
understanding
